MHL
MHL (Mobile High-definition Link) is a digital serial bus that allows the transmission of digital video and audio signals with mobile devices. MHL transmits TMDS-encoded data (similar to HDMI) over one differential pair and embeds the clock signal in the common-mode, thus allowing to transmit high-definition video over a single cable pair. Many mobile devices already support this technology, providing a micro-USB connector capable of transmitting MHL signals. MHL devices can be connected to TVs with MHL-enabled HDMI inputs or to dongles that translate MHL into HDMI.
