Applications
BitifEye offers solutions for compliance testing and characterization for a broad range of established and emerging digitial high speed buses. Applications currently comprise computer bus (PCI Express TM, USB, SATA) and video bus (HDMI, DisplayPort) test.
PCI Express (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express, short PCIe or PCI-E) is a bus standard for connecting peripherals such as graphics cards with the chip set of a processor. PCIe is the successor of PCI and supports higher data rates. This is achieved through a high speed serial point-to-point architecture. For PCI Express test, see.
USB (Universal Serial Bus) is a serial bus which connects a host, e.g. a computer, with external devices such as hard dics or consumer electronics devices. USB offer hot-plugging, i.e. connections and de-connections without the need for rebooting the host, and automatic device detection. For USB test, see.
SATA (Serial ATA, S-ATA; Serial Advanced Technology Attachment) is a serial point-to-point bus which primarily serves the data communicatio between a processor and a hard disk. SATA supports hot-plugging. For SATA test, see.
HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) aims at "home entertainment". It is a serial bus for transferring all-digital audio and video data such as music and videos or for connecting PCs to displays. For HDMI test, see.
DisplayPort is a new bus standard for transferring video and audio data between e.g. computers or DVD players and displays or TVs. For DisplayPort test, see.
